Sunset sail

We cast off with about two hours of light left and head out far enough that the coast turns into a silhouette. The engine goes off, the sails go up, and it gets very quiet. There is a moment maybe forty minutes in when the water goes the colour of the sky and nobody says anything — that is the one people come back for. We are back on the pontoon shortly after dark. Bring a jumper; it turns cool the second the sun is gone.
